GlowyFluxy (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at glowyfluxy.shop. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the handling described in this policy.

1. Who we are

GlowyFluxy is an Australian-based online retailer. We sell and deliver products within Australia.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact us at Jmuguoji@outlook.com.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the store and fulfil your orders. This may include:

  • Identity and contact details – your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
  • Order information – the products you buy, order value, delivery preferences and order history.
  • Account details – if you create an account, your username, email address and encrypted password.
  • Payment information – the limited details needed to process and reconcile your payment, such as the payment method and transaction reference. Full card numbers are handled by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
  • Communications – messages you send us through our contact form, by email, or in comments and reviews.
  • Technical and usage data – IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we collect your information

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us.
  • Automatically as you browse the site, through cookies and server logs.
  • From third parties that support your order – for example our payment provider confirming that a payment has been completed, and delivery partners providing tracking updates.

4. Why we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • process, pack, deliver and track your orders;
  • take payment and issue refunds;
  • provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
  • manage returns, refunds and claims;
  • send order confirmations, delivery updates and other service messages;
  • send marketing about products and offers, where you have opted in or where the law allows;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of our site;
  • keep records for accounting, tax and legal compliance;
  • understand how our site is used so we can improve it.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and session working, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and support our marketing.

Cookies used to operate the cart, checkout and your account are essential – the store will not work without them. Other cookies, such as analytics and advertising cookies, are optional.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you may not be able to place an order. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

6. Embedded content from other websites

Some pages may include embedded content such as videos, maps or social media posts. Embedded content from another website behaves as if you had visited that website directly – those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content if you are logged in to them.

7. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the store, and only with organisations that are required to protect it. These may include:

  • Payment providers – to process payments, refunds and fraud checks.
  • Delivery and logistics partners – to deliver your order and provide tracking. This includes your name, delivery address and contact number.
  • Website, hosting and email providers – who host the store, store backups and send order emails.
  • Analytics and marketing providers – to measure site performance and, where you have consented, run advertising.
  • Professional advisers and authorities – accountants, auditors, insurers, and law enforcement or regulators where we are required by law to disclose.

We may also disclose your information to a buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is sold or restructured.

8. Sending information overseas

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States, the European Union and the Asia-Pacific region. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we remain accountable for it.

9. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and restricting access to the staff and contractors who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law. As a guide:

  • order and transaction records – generally seven years, for tax and accounting purposes;
  • account records – while your account is active, then for a reasonable period afterwards;
  • marketing contact details – until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them;
  • website analytics – for the retention period set for each analytics tool, generally up to 26 months.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it securely.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. You can also update your name, email address and delivery details yourself in your account.

To make a request, email Jmuguoji@outlook.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. In limited circumstances we may refuse a request, and if we do we will tell you why and how to complain.

12. Marketing and how to opt out

We send marketing emails only where you have opted in or where the law allows it. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. We will still send you essential service messages about your orders and account.

13. Children

Our store is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Making a complaint

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, email Jmuguoji@outlook.com with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond, usually within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if our practices or the law change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
